The interesting cloth that I want to talk about in China is Qipao. It is a Chinese-style dress which is also known as Cheongsam.

It is interesting because this style of dress has a history of more than 100 years. Widely popular in the last century 1920s, Qipao seems to be the one and only dress that can show the luxury and sophistication of upper class women at that time. We can still see photos from that era when every lady in the street of Shanghai wearing Qipao.

Another aspect of Qipao which is also worth mentioning is its tight-fitting. Chinese is considered conservative among many. Later came the style of Qipao whichemphasize and highlight the figure of women body. I believe the birth of Qipao has something to do with the progression of the Chinese society which is also the reason why I think it is quite fascinating.

Title:

Do you agree or disagree? Before they decide to enter a particular career, students should take a part-time job or summer employment related with this career.

As to me, I would agree that students should take a part time job or summer employment before they enter a particular field.

First reason is that take a part time job helps students gain certain experience that they would not normally get in school. For instance, if a student is thinking about becoming a businessman, there will always be lessons that he or she cannot learn from classes or lectures, it must come from tough lessons in the real work field.

Another reason is that, it will provide student a valuable opportunity to test the textbook knowledge in professional environment, that is something that university cannot provide.

1.    因为可以容纳更多的学生上课,她去年选课就选不上,她说她自己想去 CHINESE ART CLASS. 可是班级小只能去 15 个人,所以她没进去。

2.    有更大的 screen 给老师 show pictures and sculptures 可以更清晰; 没有 high-tech machine 的时候 painting 跟石膏吧都很 blur,看不清楚 details,可是艺术的 excellence 主要都在 details 上。
